The Silca Ultimate Tubeless Sealant is a top-notch product that combines the power of carbon fibre with a long lasting natural latex formula. With sealing properties that surpass those of race day formulas, this sealant also matches or exceeds the life expectancy of long-lasting formulas.

What sets this sealant apart is its high percentage fill of recycled, chopped carbon fibre strands. These strands are suspended within the sealant and work to seal any punctures that may occur. When a puncture happens, the sealant rushes to escape the hole, carrying carbon filaments with it. These filaments serve as a dam, blocking the opening of the puncture. The dam of fibre collects more fibre, transforming what was once a large hole into hundreds of smaller ones for the sealant to seal.

Fiberfoam technology has proven to seal holes and cuts up to 7.5mm at gravel pressures, and up to 5mm at higher road pressures. Additionally, the carbon fibre/latex plug formed at the puncture has shown to be more than twice as strong over time compared to latex only or latex with crystals or glitter.

While other sealants claim to plug holes up to 6+mm, they can also be injected into the tyre through the valve stem hole. However, the power of carbon fibre makes this impossible. The Silca Ultimate Tubeless Sealant instantly plugs your injection syringe or valve as the fibres stack up to block the opening.

The initial installation of the Silca Ultimate Tubeless Sealant must be done by pouring it into the tyre cavity, rather than injecting it through the valve. However, unlike other sealants that need to be completely replaced every 3-6 months, the Silca Ultimate Tubeless Sealant has a special Replenisher that can be pumped through the valve. This can extend the life of the sealant to over 1 year, depending on your climate. This means less wasted sealant and less hassle over time, as there is no need to remove the old sealant at each service interval. In fact, in many cases, the sealant may outlast the tyre.

Please note that CO2 can be used initially to seat tyres, but it should be removed as soon as possible and replaced with air to maximize the life of the sealant.
