The ENVE SES 2.2 Wheelset is a rim brake specific design and the ultimate climber's wheel, giving you lightweight performance for conquering the biggest mountains.

Designed to give pro riders on Team Dimension Data the biggest advantage when races head into the mountains, the SES 2.2 wheelset inspires confidence regardless of terrain or weather conditions thanks to its strength, aerodynamic optimisation, incredible crosswind stability and unmatched braking power.

The SES 2.2 underwent in-frame development in the Mercedes GP-Petronas wind tunnel in order to define the final shape of the rim, optimising aerodynamics and stability in real-world conditions.

As with all ENVE rims, the SES 2.2 derives its name from the depths of its front and rear rims (25mm), but unlike other wheels in the range, symmetric front and rear rim geometries were chosen to best achieve the goal of lightweight climbing performance.

To match the wheelset's uphill prowess on fast descents, the SES 2.2 features ENVE's full-carbon moulded braking track, a textured surface that achieves incredible stopping power and equal performance in wet and dry conditions. The design also means braking force at the levers is decreased by 30% compared to the previous generation brake track, allowing you to control speed with confidence on technical descents.

The SES 2.2 has a rim weight of 410g, with a wheelset weighing 1360g (tubeless) or just 1200g (tubular) when built around Chris King R45 hubs.

With 27mm wide rims, the SES 2.2 has been developed for 25mm tyres. For the clincher version, ENVE has utilised advances in road tyre and frame technologies to add user-friendly tubeless compatibility, giving real gains in rolling resistance, comfort, traction and a reduced chance of flat tyres.

Industry leaders in carbon fibre, every ENVE rim is handmade from raw uni-directional carbon at ENVEs headquarters in Utah, USA. The bespoke construction process utilises rim-specific carbon laminates, moulded spoke holes, removable bladders, and a gorgeous paint-free finish to reduce weight while maintaining strength, stiffness and allowing the beautiful handmade quality to shine through.
