The fastest jersey in the Pro-Tour!
Two-Thirds of aerodynamic resistance is created by the rider and only 1/3 from the bike. So even small gains here can make a big difference. In fact, testing from the San Diego windtunnel shows that the Cervélo Aero Race Team Jersey saves 10 watts when riding with your hands on the hoods at 40 km/h. That translates into about 36 seconds saved every hour. But since drag is exponential, that means you get double the savings at 57 km/h, and 4 times at maximum sprint speed of 80 km/h.
• Aero technology saves 10 watt s at 40km/h compared to a normal race-fit jersey • Velocity fabric front and shoulder • Open mesh back for breathability • 35cm front Camlock YKK zipper • Silicone gripper elastic at waist • Giro++ arm elastic for flat aero fit
About Castelli
Castelli traces its roots back to 1876 and a fine tailor, Vittore Gianni, in the heart of Milan. Through the years, Vittore Gianni clothed AC Milan, Juventus, and the Milan Ballet. The first cycling clothing was made in the 1910s for the five-time Giro champion Alfredo Binda. Maurizio Castelli was born in 1948, and grew up following the races of Fausto Coppi, a close friend with Maurizio’s father who was then owner of Vittore Gianni. Coppi always wore Vittore Gianni clothing, including the first silk skin suits designed for Fausto’s time trials. That famous photo of Coppi and Bartali sharing a water bottle while climbing the Col d’Izoard? Yep, both are wearing our jerseys.
